Thirteen Commercial Properties Win The Outstanding Building of the Year® Awards

BOMA International Honors Excellence in Commercial Real Estate

(WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 10, 2023) The commercial real estate industry honored 13 commercial properties with The Outstanding Building of the Year® (TOBY®) Awards at the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International’s annual conference, the 2023 BOMA International Conference & Expo, in Kansas City, Missouri.

The TOBY Awards are the commercial real estate industry’s highest recognition honoring excellence in building management and operations. The 2023 competition featured 63 buildings from nine BOMA International regions and three countries vying in multiple categories based on property type or size. These buildings first won a TOBY Award from their BOMA local association and then went on to compete and win at the regional level. Judging is based on criteria that includes community impact, occupant and employee relations, sustainability, accessibility, emergency evacuation procedures, building personnel training programs and overall quality indicators. A team of industry experts also conducted comprehensive building inspections.
