Call for applications!

Take your involvement—and your career—to a higher level. Become a candidate for BOMA International’s Executive Committee to the Board of Governors.

We are an inclusive organization that celebrates perspectives from all races and ethnicities, genders and identities, political affiliations, educational backgrounds, or socioeconomic status.

Interested individuals who meet the criteria must submit the following for the Nominating Committee’s consideration:

  1. A completed online application to indicate your interest. The following supporting materials can be submitted online with your application. All letters should be addressed to the BOMA International Nominating Committee.

  2. A cover letter stating you are a member in good standing and your intent to step forward as a candidate. Be sure to include the seat for which you are applying – officer position descriptions can be found here, and Executive Committee member descriptions can be found here.

The letter should highlight your reasons for stepping forward as a candidate, the qualities, skills and experience that make you an ideal candidate for the position you seek and how you see yourself benefiting from the experience.

  3. A professional resume detailing your BOMA-related activities, along with your local, regional, and international participation. We recommend dividing your experience into two sections on your resume: your work experience and your BOMA experience.

  4. A letter of support from your employer or partner on company letterhead, supporting your candidacy and stating they understand the time commitment for the position. If you are the employer, your letter of intent will suffice. Please provide your employer a copy of the position description so they are familiar with the position and time commitment for which you are applying.

  5. A letter of support from your BOMA local association supporting your candidacy.

  6. Three additional letters of endorsement (no more than three, please) from BOMA International members familiar with your BOMA activities. Please provide the endorsers with a copy of the position description so they are familiar with the position for which you are applying.

Note: Be sure to check if your endorsers have already endorsed others. The Nominating Committee will only accept up to two letters written by the same endorser for more than one candidate. Current BOMA International officers or members of BOMA International’s Nominating Committee, or BOMA staff cannot provide endorsement letters.

  7. A high-resolution photo (300 dpi or at least 1MB in size).

At a minimum, Items 1, 4 and 5 listed above must be submitted by the **December 15, 2023 deadline. Once submitted, each candidate will receive an email confirmation of receipt. Any remaining items will be accepted after the deadline but must be submitted one week before the scheduled interview takes place.
**Application deadline has been extended for the Associate and Emerging Professional seats only, until January 19, 2024.

Interviews are held in person during BOMA’s Winter Business Meeting and again during BOMA’s Annual Conference and Expo.
