Membership Types

The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International is a federation of 87 BOMA U.S. associations and 18 international affiliates. Founded in 1907, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International is a federation of U.S. local associations and global affiliates. The leading trade association for commercial real estate professionals for more than 100 years, it represents the owners, managers, service providers and other property professionals of all commercial building types, including office, industrial, medical, corporate and mixed-use. BOMA International is the partner individuals in the commercial real estate industry choose to maximize value for their careers, organizations and assets. Its mission is to advance a vibrant commercial real estate industry through advocacy, influence and knowledge.

Membership is available through 87 federated local associations throughout the United States.

U.S. Federated Membership

If you are located in the United States and own, manage, plan, develop, market or lease one or more commercial properties or provide products and services to the industry in a particular local or regional market, join one of the 87 Federated BOMA local associations. Click the BOMA Map to contact your BOMA local association. Membership dues vary with each local association.

Member-at-Large (MAL)

If you are a building owner, property manager, asset manager, corporate facility manager, leasing professional, medical office building professional, or other commercial real estate professional in a US market without a federated BOMA local association, you are eligible to join BOMA International directly as a Member-at-Large. If you are located outside the US, you may be eligible to join as a MAL. Click here to find out if there is a BOMA international affiliate nearest you before applying for MAL membership.

National Associate Membership (NAM)

To qualify for National Associate Membership you must be a manufacturer, supplier or distributor to the commercial real estate industry, conduct business on a regional or national basis, AND hold membership in at least one BOMA local association. International Membership

If your firm is located in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Greece, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, Panama, Russia, South Africa or the United Kingdom, join BOMA through its International Affiliates located in those respective countries. Interested professionals from other nations may join directly as a Member-at-Large.
