Are You Prepared?

Matthew update.jpgPreparedness Month may be over, but a​re you prepared for Hurricane Matthew? Hurricane Matthew has the potential to be a significant threat to the East Coast, causing high winds, heavy rain, flooding, power outages and property damage.  BOMA has resources to help you and your building plan, prepare, and respond to hurricanes, like Matthew, and other natural and man-made emergencies. 

​State Updates

  • FL has issued voluntary evacuations, but anticipate that 8 of those counties will be made mandatory later this evening.
  • SC DOT has implemented contra-flow operations westbound both directions on I-26 from Columbia to Charleston. They have also restricted access on I-95 from the GA line to the NC line. The only interchange that is operational is at I-20.

U.S. Governement Updates

  • Motor carrier safety waivers of service are in place for vehicles responding to Matthew in FL, GA, SC, NC and VA.​
