BOMA International Elects 2014-2016 Executive Committee Members

(WASHINGTON, D.C.—July 7, 2014) The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International elected six Executive Committee members at the 2014 Every Building Conference & Expo held in Orlando, Florida in late June.
The BOMA International Executive Committee is responsible for developing the strategic direction and policies for the association.  Executive Committee members work with BOMA International officers and executive staff to maximize the effectiveness of BOMA International, while ensuring resources are available to achieve its goals.  Executive Committee members serve a minimum term of two years.
The Board of Governors of BOMA International elected the following individuals to the Executive Committee:
  • Shelby J. Christensen, Senior Vice President, Director of Property Management, Liberty Property Trust, BOMA/Philadelphia
  • Bruce J. Koehler, RPA, General Property Manager, Hines, BOMA/Greater Minneapolis
  • Keith Major, Senior Vice President, Property Management, Bentall Kennedy (Canada) LP, BOMA/Toronto (Second term)
  • Stephen L. Moore, Senior Sales Executive, Commercial Real Estate, Siemens Industry, Inc., BOMA/Kansas City (Associate Member)
  • Coleen Spratt, General Manager, CommonWealth Partners, BOMA/Seattle-King County
  • Lacey H.C. Willard, Esq., RPA, Associate Director and Court-Appointed Receiver, CBRE, Inc., BOMA/Greater Tampa Bay
Shelby Christensen has more than 20 years of industry experience.  She currently is Senior Vice President, Director of Property Management, for Liberty Property Trust, where she is responsible for the management of 100 million square feet of office, flex and industrial real estate throughout the United States and United Kingdom.  Christensen currently serves as Co-Chair of BOMA International’s Industrial Committee and as a member of BOMA International’s Education Advisory Council and National Advisory Council.
As General Property Manager for Hines, Bruce Koehler oversees the 1.3 million-square-foot U.S. Bank Plaza in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  At the local level, Koehler has served on the BOMA/Greater Minneapolis Board of Directors and as Chair of the local committee for The Outstanding Building of the Year® (TOBY®) Awards, which led to his term as Chair of BOMA International’s Awards Committee.  He also has served as Vice Chair of the BOMA International Industry Defense Fund Oversight Committee.
This will be Keith Major’s second term on the BOMA International Executive Committee.  He currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Property Management, with Bentall Kennedy.  In his role, Major is responsible for the property management, operations and development activities undertaken by the company in Ontario, Canada.  He has served as Chair of the Energy and Environment Committee for BOMA/Toronto, and he currently represents BOMA as the consumer representative on the Smart Grid Forum for Ontario.
Stephen Moore is Senior Sales Executive of Commercial Real Estate for the Building Technologies Division of Siemens Industry, Inc.  He has served on the BOMA/Kansas City Board of Directors and on a number of local committees, including the BOMA/Kansas City Sustainability and Emergency Preparedness Committee, of which he currently is a member.  He also is an advocate of the BOMA 360 Performance Program®, serving as Siemens’ BOMA 360 lead for the Midwest and on BOMA/Kansas City’s BOMA 360 Committee.  He has been honored with the James R. Ruffini Award by BOMA/Kansas City in recognition of his leadership and mentorship contributions.
As General Manager with CommonWealth Partners, Coleen Spratt is responsible for the oversight of the company’s Pacific Northwest portfolio, which consists of Class-A, high-rise office buildings.  One of her properties, the Russell Investments Center in Seattle, Washington, won an International TOBY Award in 2013.  She has chaired the BOMA International State Government Affairs Committee and actively participates in BOMA’s advocacy efforts on the national, state and local level.  Spratt also is a member of BOMA International’s Industry Defense Fund Oversight Committee.  She recently completed a term as Chair of BOMA/Seattle-King County and serves on the local association’s Board of Directors.
Lacey Willard leads the Recovery and Restructuring Services for CBRE in Florida.  She coordinates the receivership and distressed asset portfolio management program, business development and client relations efforts to address workout, restructuring and recovery of under-performing commercial real estate assets.  She recently completed a term as President of BOMA/Greater Tampa Bay and currently serves as Vice President of BOMA Florida and on the Board of Directors for the BOMA Southern Region.  Willard also has served as Vice Chair of BOMA International’s State Government Affairs Committee and Co-Chair of BOMA International’s annual conference Career Day.  Prior to working at CBRE, Willard served as Contracting Officer and Senior Property Manager for the GSA, overseeing properties including the Ft. Myers U.S. Courthouse, which won an International TOBY Award in 2006.
