(WASHINGTON, D.C. – December 14, 2012) The BOMA Magazine, the bimonthly publication of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International, has been honored with a Gold Award—the highest honor—for best Annual, Bimonthly, Seasonal or Quarterly Magazine or Journal in the 2012 Association TRENDS 2012 All Media Contest.

The Association TRENDS All Media Contest is an annual competition held exclusively for associations, recognizing the most creative and effective communication vehicles developed in the industry over the prior year.  The 2012 competition included more than 420 entries in 22 categories of association communications.

“We are honored that our magazine has been recognized as one of the best association publications in the nation,” said BOMA International Chair Joseph W. Markling, managing director of Strategic Accounts at CBRE.  “It serves as a testament to the excellent work of The BOMA Magazine staff and contributors who are dedicated to providing readers with valuable information regarding the commercial real estate industry.”

The BOMA Magazine is a leading source for news and information on legislation, regulatory and codes activities, trends, forecasts and emerging technologies impacting commercial real estate.  The publication is circulated to more than 17,500 BOMA International members and subscribers.  Its readers own or manage more than 80 percent of all prime commercial properties and facilities in North America and include building owners, managers, developers, asset managers, corporate facility managers and government real estate officials.

BOMA International will be honored alongside other winners at the 34th Annual Salute to Association Excellence, to be held February 15, 2013 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C.  The winning entry also will be featured in the January issue of Association TRENDS.
