BOMA International’s The Every Building Show to Feature Green Pavilion and ENERGY STAR® Showcase

April 19, 2012

(WASHINGTON—April 19, 2012) A highlight of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International’s 2012 Every Building Conference and Expo, June 24-26 in Seattle Wash., is its tradeshow expo, which this year will feature more than 450 exhibits, including a Green Pavilion and ENERGY STAR® Showcase dedicated entirely to eco-friendly and energy-efficient products and services from leading providers.

The Green Pavilion, now in its seventh year, furthers BOMA International’s position as the industry leader in sustainability and energy efficiency, and is backed by the association’s long record of introducing new programs and strategies that encourage and help property professionals in greening their building portfolios.

“This year’s trade expo—and the Green Pavilion and ENERGY STAR Showcase in particular—will highlight our industry suppliers’ most cutting-edge technologies, solutions and services, all of which serve to maximize our buildings’ sustainability,” said BOMA International Chair Boyd R. Zoccola, executive vice president, Hokanson Companies Inc. “We’ve encouraged our members to track and benchmark energy performance, we’ve created courses that teach them exactly how to improve efficiencies, we’ve challenged them to reduce their energy consumption, and we’ve teamed up with major players in the field, such as the Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, to ensure that we’re doing all that we can to reduce emissions and cut our reliance on non-renewable resources. The Green Pavilion helps bring these efforts—and experts—together, in one place, making it easier than ever for Expo visitors to learn how to create an effective sustainability plan.”
