Noted Economist and Actor Ben Stein to Headline the 2010 BOMA International Conference

(WASHINGTON—March 9, 2010) The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International today announced that well–known economist, columnist, humorist and actor Ben Stein will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 BOMA International Conference, June 27–29 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Los Angeles County, Calif.

Stein has built a diverse career that includes many different roles, and has continued to be a leading voice on the economy. He is a graduate of both Columbia University and Yale Law School, where he was class valedictorian. As part of his long career in law, politics and journalism, Stein served as both a speech writer and economic advisor for Presidents Nixon and Ford. He has also written columns for The Wall Street Journal, Fortune magazine and The New York Times.

In addition to a side–ob as an expert witness in complex securities law cases, Stein is also a best–selling author of a series of finance and self-help books beginning with How to Ruin Your Life. However, Stein became even more well–known with his iconic role in the film Ferris Bueller´s Day Off in 1986. He has also won recognition for his economics writing including The Malcolm Forbes Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 2008. Currently, Stein can be seen as a regular commentator for CBS Sunday Morning, Larry King Live on CNN, Fox News and Yahoo! Finance.
