BOMA International Elects 2010-2012 Executive Committee Members

​(LONG BEACH—June 28, 2010) The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International elected five new executive committee members yesterday at the 2010 BOMA International Conference and The Every Building Show, June 27-29 in Long Beach, Calif.

The BOMA International Executive Committee is responsible for developing the strategic direction and policies for the association. Executive Committee members work with BOMA International officers and executive staff to maximize the effectiveness of BOMA International, while ensuring resources are available to achieve its goals. Executive Committee members serve a minimum term of two years.

The Board of Governors of BOMA International has elected the following individuals to the Executive Committee:

  • Robert M. Brierley, vice president of operations, Boston Region, Brookfield Properties Corporation, BOMA/Boston
  • Brian D. Cappelli, vice president of operations, Forest City Commercial Group, BOMA /Cleveland
  • Gordon W. Hester, director of commercial management, Kiemle & Hagood Company, BOMA/Spokane
  • Wade W. Lange, RPA, FMA, CPM, vice president of property management, Ashforth Pacific Inc., BOMA/Portland
  • Jen C. Suddreth, RPA, regional manager, Grubb & Ellis Realty Investors, BOMA/Houston

In his role at Brookfield Properties Corporation, Brierley oversees Brookfield’s Boston Region portfolio. He presently serves as a member of the BOMA/Boston’s Executive Committee, and also served as president of BOMA/Boston in 2007-2008. He has served on several BOMA International committees, including the Preparedness Committee, the Awards Committee and the State Government Affairs Committee.

Cappelli has 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. In his current role as vice president of operations with Forest City Commercial Group, he directs the property and asset management functions for a portfolio of office, retail and industrial properties. He is currently serving a term as president of BOMA/Cleveland and has also served on BOMA/Cleveland’s Finance Committee and the Government Affairs Committee. Cappelli served for four years as governor of BOMA/Ohio and on BOMA International’s BOMA One Task Force and the Gen B Task Force.

In his role at Kiemle & Hagood Company, Hester oversees management and leasing operations and is currently responsible for a portfolio of more than six million square feet. He has been involved in BOMA for 20 years, and has served as president of BOMA/Spokane, chair of the BOMA Pacific Northwest Region and co-chair of the BOMA Washington Political Action Committee. He currently serves on several BOMA International committees, including the State Government Affairs Committee, the Finance Committee and is chair of the Industry Defense Fund. This will be his second term on the BOMA International Executive Committee.

At Ashforth Pacific, Inc., Lange oversees the West Coast Portfolio, including assets in Portland, Seattle and San Francisco, and is responsible for more than three million square feet of Class A commercial property. He is the co-chair of BOMA International’s Education Advisory Council and has also participated on several BOMA International committees, including the Education Committee, the State Government Affairs Committee, the Local Association Services Committee and the SOS Task Force. He served as president of BOMA/Portland in 2006 and currently serves as both a board member of BOMA/Portland and as Board Liason to BOMA/Portland’s Sustainability Committee.

As Regional Manager for Grubb & Ellis Realty Investors, Suddreth participates in acquisition and disposition activities, due diligence, and oversees the asset management of more than thirty properties across Texas, Illinois, Colorado and California. Suddreth is the 2010 president of BOMA/Houston and has chaired the BOMA/Houston Membership Committee, co-chairs the BOMA/Houston Education Committee and served on the BOMA/Houston Membership Award. She is also active on the state level, currently serving on the BOMA/Texas Board of Directors and the BOMA/Texas Nominating Committee.

The BOMA International Executive Committee also includes five members serving 2009-2011 terms: Angelo J. Grima, director of operations, Schneider & Schneider, BOMA/New York; Karrie S. McCampbell, CPM, senior vice president, management services, Transwestern, BOMA/Dallas; Laura T. Ragans, RPA, property manager, Manulife Financial, BOMA/Orlando; Perry Schonfeld, MBA, CPA, principal, LBA Realty, BOMA/Orange County; and David M. Stucky, building manager/special projects coordinator, City of San Diego, BOMA/San Diego.
