Building Owners and Managers Association International

Building Owners and Managers Association International

BOMAPAC is BOMA International’s political action committee. It enables BOMA International’s advocacy team to raise money to re-elect political candidates for federal office who know, understand and support policies that affect commercial real estate.

The top legislative priorities for 2017 are ADA Notice & Compliance, energy efficiency and tax reform.  Providing building owners ample opportunity to fix minor ADA violations prior to financial settlement is key to assuring accessibility.  The ENERGY STAR® program is eliminated in the president's proposed FY 2018 budget, and BOMA is committed to keeping it off the chopping block.  ENERGY STAR® has proven to be a useful tool for keeping energy usage and operation costs low.  Finally, it is imperative that the federal government understands the effects comprehensive tax reform may have on capital investment and long-term stability in the marketplace.  These issues are critical to the commercial real estate industry's success; however, BOMA International cannot accomplish its advocacy agenda without BOMAPAC.

There is no better way to support the candidates and the issues that directly impact BOMA members' livelihoods.  Contributions from BOMA members across the U.S. helps to ensure that BOMA International has the power and resources to support members of Congress who have proven their leadership and commitment to commercial real estate industry issues.
