Course Description
Developed by BOMA International and Harvard University Graduate School of Design, this three-day executive education program is for emerging leaders in real estate organizations. Participants will develop the strategic planning, financial management, and leadership skills to take their careers and their firms to the next level. Designed for managers and directors who are—or want to be—on the executive track, this intensive, interactive course will teach participants how to develop the vision, influence, and discipline of successful leaders.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate or related industries. The program is open to professionals working in all disciplines of commercial real estate—property or facility management, asset management, leasing and brokerage, development, and investment. Because it provides training for a broad spectrum of skills that commercial real estate leaders will need, this course will nicely supplement industry designations such as RPA, FMA, SMA, CPM, CCIM, as well as M.B.A. degrees.
Experience Harvard’s well-known learning environment first-hand. The course is held on the Harvard University campus in Cambridge, Mass. Both Harvard faculty and industry practitioners guide participants through a series of real estate industry case studies, each designed to help participants develop the skills and expertise to manage the complexities of today’s challenging real estate business. Participants are assigned to study groups and work together to prepare cases for each day’s classes.

Information was conveyed in a way that ensured it became ingrained—we weren’t staring at PowerPoints for hours on end. Participation was huge, it was interactive, and the knowledge sunk in. It was phenomenal … unbelievable. ”
