The BOMA Energy Performance Contracting (BEPC) Model is a streamlined, effective step-by-step process for owners and service providers to follow to achieve major energy retrofits with guaranteed performance. Through this process, the owner sets the financial and performance criteria for the project up front, and the service provider develops a turn-key solution that meets or exceeds those criteria. The utility and operational savings derived from the project can be used to recoup the cost of the project over time, and the service provider financially guarantees or financially assures the energy savings that will be achieved. The BEPC Model details the four phases of the process and the BEPC Toolkit (with links below) provides the model documents and templates for implementation of energy performance contracting.
