BOMA Local Associations Partner with IFMA and IREM Chapters to Aid California Fire Victims

(WASHINGTON, DC—November 15, 2007)  The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) local associations in Orange County, Greater Los Angeles and Inland Empire have teamed up with the Orange County Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the Orange County Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) to aid the victims of the recent California wildfires.

The effort was spearheaded by BOMA/Orange County to help communities affected by the wildfires through non-monetary donations of non-perishable food items.

“Through a coordinated and collaborative effort we are helping thousands affected by the devastating wildfires by providing them with the essential, everyday items we all take for granted,” said Robin Jochims, executive director, BOMA/Orange County. “Working closely with our industry friends and partners in the Southern California region has galvanized this effort, allowing us to assist many more victims.”

Non-perishable items currently being accepted include bottled water, canned foods, pasta, gas cards and grocery store gift certificates, as well as items such as clothing, diapers, soap and shampoo. Local relief organizations will distribute the donations to the victims.

Help the Southern California fire victims by sending your non-monetary donation to BOMA IREM IFMA (So Cal Fire Relief) 1405 Warner Avenue, Tustin, CA 92780.
