(Denver, CO—July 22, 2008) The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International bestowed the Life Member award to Gary Wood at the BOMA International Conference and The Office Building Show held June 22-24 in Denver.
The Life Member award is given to the most dedicated and loyal members who have devoted twenty or more years of service to BOMA.
Gary Wood has committed more than twenty years of active service to BOMA and the commercial real estate industry it represents. He has held numerous leadership positions, including chair of both the BOMA Foundation and the Operations Method Committee. He also served on the Executive Committee for four years, and was a member of the Awards Committee, Experience Exchange Report (EER) Task Force, Reinventing Major Meetings Task Force, the BOMA Energy Efficiency Program (BEEP) Task Force and countless others. As one of the founders of the BEEP Program, Gary has helped elevate the need for energy efficient management and operation practices in commercial real estate.
In recognition of this and for his devotion, teamwork and professionalism in furthering the property management profession, the BOMA International Board of Governors has named Gary Wood a BOMA Life Member.
