Trane Joins BOMA International as Cornerstone Partner

(WASHINGTON, D.C.—March 7, 2008) Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services, announced today that it will be a Cornerstone Partner of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International. BOMA International’s partnership program, developed in 2004, allows companies to invest in their own success and viability, as well as that of the industry.

As a Cornerstone Partner, Trane is supporting BOMA International’s crucial industry programs at the highest level. This partnership means that BOMA officers and staff will support Trane - whether it’s help setting appointments with prospective customers, research or training needs. It also provides Trane associates with opportunities for professional development and networking at local BOMA chapter events.

“We look forward to bringing Trane's expertise in environmental technology and energy conservation to our partnership with BOMA,” said John W. Conover, IV, president of Trane’s commercial systems business in Americas.  “Through our partnership alliance, we are proud to be supporting crucial industry programs. By partnering with BOMA we’re demonstrating our commitment to our employee development, industry education and research and to our customers.”

With three levels of participation— Cornerstone Partner, Leadership Circle and Supporting Partner the program demonstrates the commitment of leading organizations to support BOMA International with the needed resources to advance its advocacy, education and research initiatives that benefit the entire commercial real estate industry.

“BOMA is very excited to be partnering with Trane,” said BOMA International Chairman and Chief Elected Officer Brenna Walraven, RPA, CPM, executive managing director, national property management, USAA Real Estate Company. “Their commitment to energy stewardship is in line with BOMA’s own energy and environment initiatives. As fellow partners in the Clinton Climate Initiative program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we are pleased to be further strengthening our relationship.”
