ENERGY STAR® Partner Company Supports the Industry with $25,000 Pledge to BOMA International Partnership Program
(Washington, D.C.—November 30, 2006) Nalco Company, the leading global provider of integrated water treatment and process improvement services, air management, chemicals and equipment programs for a variety of industrial and institutional applications, has joined the Building Owner and Managers Association (BOMA) International's elite Leadership Circle of Partners with a $25,000 pledge to support crucial programs in education, advocacy, research and membership.
Nalco was recently named an ENERGY STAR® partner by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The ENERGY STAR rating is presented to organizations with a proven energy management strategy that helps in measuring current energy performance, setting goals, tracking savings, and rewarding improvements.
"We are delighted to welcome Nalco Company to the Leadership Circle of the BOMA International Partnership Program," said BOMA International Chairman and Chief Elected Officer Kurt Padavano, RPA, CPM, FMA, SMA, and Chief Operating Officer of Advance Realty Group of Bedminster, N.J. "With their commitment to protecting the environment while providing exceptional service to 70,000 worldwide customers, Nalco is a natural addition to the partnership program. Nalco is helping improve indoor air quality and reduce operating expenses through its new Building Environment Solutions (BES) program, which is already helping owners and managers enjoy a healthier bottom line. We look forward to working with Nalco on initiatives that benefit the commercial real estate industry."
"Our mission at Nalco is to create value for our customers by developing and implementing innovative, differentiated solutions that are financially, technically and environmentally sustainable," remarked Stefan Muench, Marketing Manager, Institutional Services, Nalco Company. "Joining the BOMA International Partnership Program will help us further drive our mission while taking part in crucial industry programs."
BOMA International's partnership program, developed in 2004, allows companies to invest in their own success and viability, as well as that of the industry. With three levels of participation—Cornerstone Partner ($50,000), Leadership Circle ($25,000) and Supporting Partner ($10,000)—the program demonstrates the commitment of leading organizations to support BOMA International with the needed resources to advance its advocacy, education and research initiatives that benefit the entire commercial real estate industry.
