WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International, the leading commercial real estate trade association, and SelectLeaders, the premier online job network for the real estate industry, are reaching out to help real estate professionals displaced by Hurricane Katrina find job opportunities in the Gulf Coast and facilitate job postings by employers through its “Operation Rebirth and Rebuild Gulf Coast” campaign. Specifically, the BOMA Career Center (www.bomacareers.org), through the SelectLeaders Job Network, will provide candidates with online access to available real estate jobs within the Gulf Coast states of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Employers will receive a 50 percent discount on all job postings of positions located in the Gulf States.
“Within hours after the destruction from Hurricane Katrina, BOMA members and the entire real estate community were reaching out to help those in the disaster zone,” stated BOMA Chairman David W. Hewett, RPA, CPM, CCIM, FMA, CFM, principal of Trammel Crow Company. “BOMA is proud to develop a post-hurricane job portal with SelectLeaders. Through the support of the SelectLeaders network of real estate organizations, this online resource will match employers and candidates with real estate jobs in the Gulf Coast region.”
