Henry H. Chamberlain, CAE, APR directs BOMA International's Washington staff in support of the international federation’s more than 100 local associations and affiliated organizations. The 17,000-plus members of BOMA International own or manage more than 9 billion square feet of commercial properties in North America and abroad. He has been a member of the BOMA staff for 23 years, and was promoted to his current position in July 2001.
Prior to joining BOMA, Chamberlain was director of communications for the Gannett Company during the roll-out phase of the Nation’s Newspaper - USA TODAY. He began his career working in the press office of a national presidential campaign. Other work experience included managing accounts for various small public relations agencies.
Chamberlain is treasurer of the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate (OSCRE), and member of the boards of directors of the Real Estate Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC), and the University of Vermont D.C. Regional Board. He participates as a member of the American Society of Association Executives and Center for Association Leadership, the Committee of 100 with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Real Estate Roundtable, and the Greater Washington Board of Trade and its Green Committee. He served on the board of the Center for Association Leadership (2003-2007) and was the 2001 president of the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
