Henry Chamberlain directs BOMA International’s staff in support of the Association´s more than 100 local associations and affiliates with 16,500-plus members who own or manage more than 9 billion square feet of commercial properties in North America and abroad. He has been a member of the BOMA staff since 1985 and was promoted to his current position in 2001.
Prior to joining BOMA, he was director of communications for the Gannett Company during the launch phase of the Nation’s Newspaper – USA TODAY. He began his career in Washington working in the press office of a national presidential campaign. Other work experience included managing accounts for two public relations firms.
Chamberlain is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and its CEO Advisory Board, Greater Washington Board of Trade, National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (NCC-PRSA), Real Estate Roundtable, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100. He serves on the Board of the Real Estate Associate Program (REAP) and is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Better Buildings Magazine. Chamberlain previously served on the Board of the Center for Association Leadership (2003-2007) and was the 2001 president of the NCC-PRSA. He was selected as an ASAE Fellow in 2009. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont.
